The October launch of the second book in the Spirals of Aztalun series was a success for me as a small indie author who published my first book, The Spiral Awakens, only last year. So, I didn't set my expectations too high, hoping not to be disappointed. Still, I never expected the volume of eBook downloads in the first few days. For the month, there were more than 1500 orders, which may seem like a small number to most authors, but for me it was record-breaking. I have to admit the majority of orders were for the eBook, both as a paid eBook and as a free download for Kindle+ subscribers or during my free promotion days. Still, there were also a good number of print books ordered, along with a handful of requests from my Newsletter readers for signed print copies. If you were one of those who ordered the book and haven't reviewed it on Amazon or Goodreads yet, please post a review, even if you ordered the book directly from me or at the Saralanghebooks.com website bookstore. Reviews on Amazon are a number-one driver of the algorithms we keep hearing about, so it really makes a difference for indie authors to help make their books visible.

We had quite a bit of attention from New In Books, including an interview with me, and loads of posts on their Facebook and Instagram pages. Additionally, Spiral Energy Rising was featured in Fantasy and Science Fiction Books to Read, New Fantasy/Science Fiction Books You'll Love, and Bargain Booksy.

This is the second book in the Spirals of Aztalun series. Six people whose lives are intertwined, rescuing a goddess and being pursued by God's and goddesses. They are harbored by a coven of witches. They become powerful with their own magic in the realm of Aztalun.

The author writes poetically, and the words are like music dancing across the pages. I love this series and I love this book.
