February 2026 Update from Sara Langhe Books

February has been a lot of fun so far. To get into the spirit of romance that so many people indulge in during the Valentine's Day season, I worked with Written Word Media to participate in an online giveaway featuring my Fantasy Romance book, The Spiral Awakens. The giveaway runs through the month, and the winner will receive a Kindle reader loaded with 25 eBooks from the Paranormal Fantasy and Romance genre.

I'm also looking forward to the March release of The Spiral Awakens as an audiobook. I've been working with an acclaimed voice artist (local to the Phoenix, AZ metro area) to record the book. She's done an amazing job with all the characters' voices and global accents! Her name is Melissa Del Toro Shaffner, and I think you'll love her narration as much as I do. Currently, Melissa has wrapped up work in her recording studio and is working with an audio engineer and editor to put the finishing touches on the audiobook. Then, the audio undergoes quality control, after which it will be released. I can hardly wait!

I am also continuing to work on writing the next book in the Spirals of Aztalun series. It's slow going with my full-time work at the university; however, I am making progress. The more I write, the more I imagine up to two more books in this series before turning my attention to a sci-fi space opera epic that is already nagging at the back of my mind.

Finally, on the home front, my husband bought me a sweet metal-and-stone bench for a little outdoor reading nook I've created for myself. The bench is just big enough for the two of us and sits under a beautiful mesquite tree on our property. Spring will have the tree leafing out, providing a lovely shade canopy over the next couple of months. I'll have to share a photo in a future post.
